What is a Scenario?

A Scenario in TradrLab is a specific pattern that occurs in historical candlestick data.
It is not a buy signal. It is not a sell signal. It is only the pattern itself — no trading decisions or directions are included.
A scenario tells TradrLab:
“Show me every time this exact pattern has appeared on a chart.”
For example: If the 30-period moving average crosses above the 50-period moving average, that is the pattern.
You could type - “Show me every time the 30ma has crossed above the 50ma”
TradrLab will search the historical data and display every occurrence of that crossover on the chart without attaching any buy or sell directions.
Key Points
Scenarios identify patterns, not trades. They do not tell you when to buy or sell.
Each scenario focuses on one direction. For example, a “cross above” pattern only looks for crossovers in that direction — not both above and below.
Be precise in your description. Focus only on the specific pattern you want to detect.
Tip: Keep your scenario clear and focused on the pattern itself. Avoid adding trading actions or assumptions — the system’s role is to find the pattern, not interpret it for you.
